CHILDRESS - Jimmie Lynn Rice Schmidt, 41, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Retrop Cemetery in Retrop, Okla., with Michael Larson officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Schmidt was born May 2, 1960, in Hobart, Okla. She was a second-grade teacher for Childress Schools.

Survivors include her mother, LaDonna Rice of Elk City, Okla.; a son, Jacob Wheeler of Childress; and two sisters, Sherry Rice and Barbara Larson, both of Elk City.
