Edward "Eddie" William Babcock was born April 29, 1970 in Wakefield, Rhode
Island to Lenora Jean (Aston) and Everett Aram Babcock. He passed away August
15, 2018 at Amarillo, Texas at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 17 days.
Eddie spent his early years in Rhode Island and moved with his family to Sayre
where he attended grade school through high school graduating in 1989. After
graduation he furthered his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University
where he received his bachelors and masters degree in Education. Eddie did his
student teaching in Elk City and after receiving his masters he began working
for Amarillo Public School where he was currently teaching History. Besides his
children and his students, Eddie enjoyed going to the gym and lifting weights
and going to concerts.
He is preceded in death by his father, Everett A. Babcock.
He is survived by his 2 children, Kristen Babcock, San Antonio, TX and Cameron Babcock, Canyon, TX; his mother Lenora Babcock, Sayre, OK; 1 brother, Everett Babcock and wife, Eva, Kansas City, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Retrop Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
