NORMA MOLER
1931 - 2016


Norma "Nannie" Blackketter Moler was born March 5, 1931 in Campo, Colorado to Lucy Flora and Roy Blackketter. She passed away March 5, 2016 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.
She was married to Herman Richard Moler at Wheeler, Texas on November 29, 1948.
They made their home in Hammon, Oklahoma and to this union were born 8 kids, Vickie, Dick, R.C., Lynn, Bob, Frank, Lucy and Terri. In 1960 they moved to Cheyenne where they resided the rest of their life.
She was a breast cancer survivor of 36 years.
She and H.R. owned and operated numerous businesses.
Nannie enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids participate in all of their activities.
She was a member of the Sorosis Club for many years and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne.
One of her favorite times was her daily devotions, reading her Bible and spending time with the Lord.
Norma was well known for her craftiness and baking and at Halloween people would line up down the street to get one of her popcorn balls.
She was an Administrative Assistant for 22 years to the Roger Mills County Commissioners until she retired in 2003.
To most people she was known as Nannie.
She spent the last few years of her life enjoying playing bingo, dominos and singing at the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son, Lynn Moler, a grandson, Gary Sanderford, a son-in-law, Jim Sanderford and two brothers, J. F. and Bob Blackketter.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Sanderford, Dick Moler and wife, Wilma, R. C. Moler and wife, Julie, Bob Moler, Frank Moler and wife, Helena, Lucy Banks and husband, Mike, Terri Barton and husband, Greg, all of Cheyenne, OK; 27 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; two half brothers; one half sister and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m at Rose Chapel Funeral Service, 602 McKinney Ave., Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Cheyenne First Baptist Church, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Cheyenne Cemetery.
