EVA JUNE DICKASON
1924 - 2016
Eva June Beavin Dickason was born June 23, 1924 in Crawford, Oklahoma to Mable and Henry Hagan Beavin. She passed away March 14, 2016 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 21 days.
Eva June grew up in Roll, Oklahoma and began grade school at Clear Springs and graduated from Crawford, Oklahoma.
After her graduation in 1942 she was married to Rex F. Dickason at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on June 27, 1942.
Eva June and Rex made their home in the Crawford and Roll communities. Together they farmed and ran their dairy until 1953 when they moved to Pampa, Texas while Rex worked for a chemical plant. They returned to the Crawford area and returned to dairy work until 1966 when they went strictly to cattle and wheat farming.
In 1970 they retired and began traveling within the United States and to foreign countries. Eva June and Rex also enjoyed traveling in their motor home, visiting their lake house on Lake Eufala and watching their grandchildren play basketball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Aubrey Colgan and Leona Keahey.
She is survived by her two children, Harold Dickason and wife, Pat of Amarillo, Texas and Tammy Mikles and husband, Sonny of Sharpsburg, Georgia; four grandchildren, Greg Dickason and wife, Patty of Garden Grove, California, Riley Mikles of Dublin, Georgia, Paige Hanson and husband, Joseph of Newnan, Georgia and Jenny Gillispie and husband, Shaun of Amarillo, Texas; seven great grandchildren, Zachary Dickason, Abby Dickason and Maegan Dickason, all of Garden Grove, California; Loagan Helton, Gage Gillispie, Grant Gillispie and Collin Pursley, all of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Marguerite Baker of Durham, Oklahoma and Pauline Culmer of Bella Vista, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Cheyenne United Methodist Church officiated by Alex Costea.
Burial will be at Silent Home Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
