Darrell Eugene Goforth, retired oilfield worker, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at his residence at the age of 71 years.

The son of the late James A. Goforth and Mary Margaret Garner Goforth, Darrell was born on October 2, 1936 in Cushing and was reared and educated in Cushing.

Darrell was united in marriage to Nancy Arend and to this union six children, Marty, Tony, Monte, Darrell, Jr., Penny and Sherry, were born.

He loved to be outdoors, working with his hands building things and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Goforth of the home; four sons, Marty Goforth and his wife Delaina of Cushing, Tony Goforth and his wife Shelly of Tulsa, Monte Goforth of Reno, NV and Darrell Goforth, Jr. of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Penny Harris of Los Angeles, CA., and Sherry Thompson of Enid; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Bob Goforth and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe & Warren Goforth and four sisters, Goldie Dauman, Barbara Day, Zella Ward and Bertha Raper.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Reverend Kevin Clouse officiating.
