Kathy Fisher, retired from the Cushing Public School System, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 77 years.

The daughter of the late Frank James Holmes and Opal Arrowwood Holmes, Kathy was born on November 11, 1932 in Stroud, OK and was reared and educated in the Stroud Schools.

She later received her Bachelors Degree from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Masters Degree from Oklahoma State University in Elementary Education, Music and Reading.

She was a member of the Kappa Kappa IOTA.

She was united in marriage to Benny Fisher and to this union two sons, Brent and Brian were born. Benny has preceded her in death.

Kathy was employed with the Cushing Schools for many years, teaching and serving as Principal of Wilson School. Following her retirement from Cushing she moved to Las Vegas where she taught reading until her final retirement in 2000.

She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church and for many years had played the organ at the church.

She enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her two sons, Brent Fisher of Las Vegas, NV and Brian Fisher and his wife Kim of Cushing, and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church.
