Betty Jo Exton, Cushing resident, passed away June 20, 2006 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years.
The daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Troglin and Minnie Catherine Turpin Troglin, Betty was born August 6, 1927 in Claremore, OK and was reared and educated in Collinsville.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Hopkins in August of 1947 in Collinsville, OK. To this union, two children Danny and Brenda were born.
Betty was united in marriage to John Exton in November of 1968 in Drumright.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and cooking and growing flowers.
Survivors include her children, Danny Hopkins of the home and Brenda Hopkins Pickle and her husband Benny of Bristow; two grandchildren, Angelina Karvia and her husband Scott of Tulsa and Andrew Carroll Pickle and his wife Danielle of Fayetteville, AR; six great-grandchildren, Tara Karvia, Scotty Karvia, Sara Karvia, Luke Karvia, Sydney Pickle and Simon Pickle; one brother, Hobart Troglin of Collinsville; two sisters, Dorothy Sisney and Anna Lee Maxey of Tulsa and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Susan Rae Hopkins and Benny Carroll Pickle, II; one brother, Volley Troglin and one sister, Maria Hulsebus.
The family will have a private burial.
