Bobby Rosanne “Anne” Trompler, a lifelong resident of Stillwater, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by her family and caregivers. She was 91. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
A graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10AM at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. Deacon Tom Haan will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9AM to 8PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Family will greet guest from 6PM to 8PM.
Anne was born February 28, 1926 in Stillwater, OK, to Guy and Josie [Schooler] Thomas. She graduated from Stillwater High School and attended Oklahoma State University, where she majored in English Literature and also studied Art History.
Prior to getting married, she was employed with Moore Insurance Agency as a secretary and bookkeeper and also AT&T as an operator. Anne and Edgar Trompler were married September 23, 1953 in Stillwater, OK. Not long after getting married Anne left the work force and became a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children and taking care of her family.
Anne was very involved in the Stillwater community. She was a member of the Audubon Society, Order of the Eastern Star, Order of the Amaranth Rebekah Lodge, and of a local Bird Watchers group. She was commended on several occasions for her volunteerism in Stillwater. Anne was also a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where she was faithful in her faith and church work.
Survivors include her son, Stephen Trompler and wife Nancy of Stillwater, OK; her daughter, Janet Deloria and wife Karen of Clearwater, FL; one grandson, James Trompler of Stillwater, OK; two granddaughters, Lori Cabrera of Doraville, GA, and Danielle Holmes of Syracuse, NY; four great-grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Misty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Trompler on January 17, 1985; her parents; and two brothers, Donald Thomas and James Schooler.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Stillwater Mobile Meals in c/o Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK, 74075.
