KRIS DUANE LAFOLLETTE

27 Oct 1971 - 12 Oct 2017

Kris LaFollette, 45, passed away on October 12, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairlawn Cemetery. Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater, is entrusted with arrangements.

Kris was born on October 27, 1971 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Gary W. and Sharla Prickett LaFollette. He grew up in Stillwater and attended Stillwater High School and Oklahoma State University. Kris lived and worked in both Texas and Oklahoma City: most recently Someplace Else Deli, Waterford Marriott Hotel, and until his death, as a manager at Oklahoma State Fair Park.

He was an outgoing, passionate person with an overwhelming curiosity and need to experience all that life had to offer. He loved being with family and friends, both young and old, and had a joy that affected everyone he was around. He was an artist and photographer who loved to travel, read and learn. He was famous in the family for his ability to learn and recall information and details, and had a sense of direction better than a GPS long before they were invented.

Kris is preceded in death by his brother, Taz; grandfather, Charles Prickett; grandmother, Mary Lee LaFollette.

In addition to his parents, Kris is survived by his twin sister, Kerri LaFollette of Stillwater; nephew, Stephen LaFollette of Stillwater; grandmother, Peggy Prickett of Stillwater; his grandfather, Garland LaFollette of Guthrie; and a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, dear friends and extended family.

Memorial contributions can be made in Kris’s name to The American Heart Association c/o Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington St. Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.pmcfhstillwater.com.
