Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Perry, Oklahoma April 2024 July 15, 1930 ~ April 14, 2024 Lula Mae Davis, born on July 15, 1930, in Yale, Oklahoma, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She will always be remembered for her kind and loving nature, as well as her deep devotion to her family. Lula Mae led a fulfilling life as a dedicated housewife, and she also briefly worked in the airlines industry. Her fondest memories were those spent surrounded by her loved ones, cherishing every moment together. She graduated from Norfork High School and later earned a business degree from Draughon's Business School. Lula Mae had a variety of interests and hobbies including sewing, crocheting, watching westerns, browsing thrift stores, and attending garage sales. Preceded in death are her parents Jeff [Simmoms] and John Otis Berg; her husband, George Davis; Christopher "Joe" Davis [grandson]; Lloyd Johnson [son-in-law]; Eddie Harting [son-in-law]; Sharlott Bier [daughter-in-law]; son-in-law Dennis Munday; and Letha Berg [sister-in-law]. Lula Mae will forever be cherished by her surviving family and friends: Gary Davis [son] of Perry, Oklahoma; Barbara Harting [daughter], and Karen Johnson [daughter], both of Perkins, Oklahoma; Darrell Davis [son] of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Charles Berg [brother] of Chelsea, Oklahoma; Cathryn Gazaway [former daughter-in-law]; Amy Coomer [Michael Ray] [granddaughter] of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Jessica Terrel [granddaughter] of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Rayden Webb [Kaitlyn) [grandson] of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Brian Abbott [grandson] of Perkins, Oklahoma; Michael Munday [Angie] [grandson] of Cushing, Oklahoma; Steven Munday [Trisha] [grandson] of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Dwight Munday [Brittany] of Cushing, Oklahoma; Shonna Tavares [Marco] ([granddaughter] of California. As well as 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. Along with numerous neighborhood children that called her grandma. The visitation to celebrate Lula Mae's life will be held at the Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home on April 22nd from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The graveside service will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater on April 23rd at 2:00 PM with interment following immediately after at 3:00 PM. Her grandsons will serve as casket bearers. In honoring the memory of Lula Mae Davis's life well-lived and the love she shared with all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace. |
