Helen Wright Robison passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2006 in Joplin, MO at the age of 66 years.
The daughter of the late Howard Nicholas Wright and Irma Mae Biswell Wright, Helen was born on January 25, 1940 in Avery, OK and was reared and educated in the Happy Valley and Cushing area, graduating from Cushing High School.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Clyde Robison on June 11, 1961 in Cushing and to this union two children, Ray and Dianne were born. Raymond preceded her in death on February 27, 1989.
Helen was currently employed with the Edward Jones Investments as a Senior Branch Office Administrator, having worked there for over 17 years and previously had worked for the First Presbyterian Church for several years.
She was a member of the Big Creek Church of the Brethren and had been very active in all phases of the church.
She was a member of the Home Extension Club and enjoyed the Joy Class very much.
Survivors include her children, Ray Robison and his wife Kathy of Bristow, OK and Dianne Lowry and her husband James of Fort Scott, KS; two brothers Glen Wright and his wife Mary Lou and Olin Wright and his wife Shirley both of Cushing; two sisters, Maxine Helton of Bethany and Linda Adams of Cushing; five grandchildren, Cherie, Morgan and Avriel Lowry, and Jake and Ethan Robison; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at 10 A.M. in the Big Creek Church of the Brethren with Pastor John Holderread and Pastor Tim O’Neal of Fort Scott, Kansas, officiating.
Serving as casket bearers will be Greg Helton, Mike Helton, Doug Helton, Brett Wright, Steve Wright, Randy Wright, Nick Wright and Bucky Adams.
Burial will follow in the Church Yard Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the Davis Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
