Funeral services for Mary Jane "Janie" Rush Goodson, 83 of Enid, who changed her address to heaven after a brief illness, will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2019, in the First Baptist Church in Hominy, OK with Pastor Mark Formby officiating. Burial will follow in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Mary Jane "Janie" Rush Goodson was born June 9, 1936, in Hominy, OK to James Edward and Laura Fay Mantooth Rush, and passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, in Enid. She married Robert Irvin "Bob" Goodson, on November 24, 1953. They were married forty years. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hominy, Oklahoma.

Mary went to two country Hominy Schools, Sunset and Sundown. She also went to Mullins and Horace Mann Grade Schools, Jr. High and High School. Mary liked to read books and rake leaves while listening to the birds.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Vicki Wilson and husband Dennis of Enid, OK; one grandson, Ryan Waffle; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and two great-great-grandsons; two brothers, Jim Rush of Leasville, LA, and Loyd Rush and his wife Marie of Hutchinson, KS; a sister, Joy Prewitt and her husband Jerry of Stroud, OK; nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Fay Rush; husband Robert; one daughter, Shellie; two brothers, J.B and Carl Rush, three sisters, Violet Ridenour, Dora Haen and Gracie Looney, and one grandson, Steve Culbertson.

In lieu of flowers, Mary Jane requested donations be made through the funeral home to her cousin's Christian ministry in Africa. Online guestbook at www.andersonburris.com.
