Funerals Wednesday Henry Lloyd Chaney - funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the Powell Funeral Home Chapel at Hominy. Burial will follow in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Powell Funeral Home of Hominy.
Henry Lloyd Chaney, son of Alice Thompson of Ponca City, died Friday, June 26, 1992, in Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman. He was 54.
Born Sept. 11, 1937 in Horton, Texas he was the son of Henry L. and Alice (Cagle) Chaney. He moved with his family to Hominy at age seven and was educated in the Hominy schools.
Chaney was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had worked for Gunite Construction Company of Kansas City, Kan.
Survivors include his mother, Alice Thompson of Ponca City; two sons, Darrell Chaney of Washington and Henry L. Chaney of Ponca City; four daughters, Joyce D. Chancy, Janett Riley and Jo Del Chaney, of Lawrence, Kan., and Billie Gregg of Ponca City; one brother Lonnie D. Chaney of Kansas CIty, Kan.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lester H. Chaney; and one son John David Chaney.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, in the chapel of Powell Funeral Home at Hominy with G. H. Lewis, elder from the church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Ponca City, officiating. Burial will follow in the A. J. Powell Memorial Cemetery at Hominy with Powell Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
