Hazel Marie (Carter) Jones was born in Warner, Oklahoma on August 9, 1943 to William and Effie (Branam) Carter. She passed away in Muskogee, Oklahoma on October 10, 2020 at the age of 77.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Jones, Jr.; her son, William Allen Jones; her parents, William and Effie Carter; her brothers, Billy Ray Carter and James Curtis Carter; her sisters, Blanche Schronce and Jannell Walls; her grandson, Travis Dugan; and Margie Walls and Rita Wadsworth.
Hazel was raised in the Warner, Oklahoma area and married Benjamin Jones, Jr. on June 8, 1961. They lived in the Porum area, where they raised their children. Hazel worked at the Warner Nursing Home as a Medicine Aide for many years
