BUFFALO - The funeral for John C. Alexander, 72, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zwanziger Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Tindell will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olive cemetery at Fort Supply.

He was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Mutual to Joseph and Lillie Knott Alexander and died Saturday, Feb 5, 2000, at St. Louis.

He attended Mutual High School.

On Dec. 2, 1956, he married Joyce Knight at Woodward. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked for Oklahoma State Highway Department in Buffalo.

Surviving are one son, James of Woodward; five daughters, Julie A. Givens of Salem, Mo., JoAnn Alexander, Janet Waterman and Hallie Martin, both of Woodward, and Betty Jean Peard of San Diego; one brother, Tom of Woodward; three sisters, Bonnie Main of Vici, Anna Moss and Mary Schwarz, both of Clinton; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
