Janet Darlene (Davis) Latta

Janet Latta, 83, formerly of May and Woodward, died Wednesday, May 10, 2023 in Flower Mound, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the May Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Janet Darlene (Davis) Latta was born on February 18, 1940 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Johnnie and Rosella (Jordan) Davis. Janet was reared in May, Oklahoma. She attended school in May until it closed then graduated from Fort Supply High School. Janet then attended and graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University, graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Janet had one son, Johnny from her first marriage . Janet was united in marriage to Larry Dean Latta in Fort Supply, Oklahoma in May 1995. They made their home in Dallas, Texas before returning to May to be close to her parents. She worked as an accountant for a law firm in Laverne before retiring. After Larry and her parents passing she moved to Lewisville, Texas to be close to her son.

Janet is survived by her son Johnny Hughes and wife Renee of Lewisville, Texas; her brother, J.D. Davis and wife Linda of Garden City, Kansas; grandchildren, Joshua Edward Hughes and wife Amy; Jordyn-Renee Frances Hughes; Jackson Nelson Hughes and fiancé Chelsea Kemp; two great-grandchildren, Madison Avery Hughes; and Finley Harper Hughes; niece, Janelle Casey; and nephew Brendon Davis and wife Cindy; numerous wonderful other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Rosella Davis; and husband, Larry Latta.
