Memorial Service for Randy Lynn Briant Sr., 71, of Fairview, will be January 2, 2022, at 2 p.m., at the Baptist Church, Fort Supply, Oklahoma. Reverend Todd White will officiate. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery. Cremation arrangements by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Randy Lynn Briant Sr. was born May 17, 1950 in May, Oklahoma to Kenneth G. and Veta Pearl (Crooks) Briant and passed from this life to the next on December 19, 2021 at the Fairview Regional Medical Center in Fairview, Oklahoma.
Randy grew up in the May and Fort Supply area and attended school in Fort Supply. At the young age of 16, he worked at the Fort Supply Hospital. Randy graduated from Fort Supply High School in 1969. After graduation he went to work for BJ’s Fracking Service. This was the beginning of a life time working in the oil field. As he got older, he obtained his commercial drivers license and started driving trucks in the oil and gas industry. Randy was married twice and blessed with three children before he married Carla Slaughter Bowman on April 6, 2001. They enjoyed 20 years of happiness before he passed away on December 19.
Randy loved fishing and taking everyone out to the lake. He also spent many hours watching NASCAR, old westerns and shows on the history of accounts of past Wars. To go along with his love for old westerns and enjoyed reading and his favorite author was American novelist Louis L’Amour. However, spending time with his grandchildren was more important to him than anything. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
Randy is survived by his wife Carla, two sons; Lyn Dale Wesley Briant and Randy Lynn Briant Jr. and wife Ashley, daughter Windy LaFawn Briant Fitzsimmons, one step-son Trevor Dean Bowman and wife Elisabeth, one brother; Kenneth Briant Jr. and his wife LaVonna, two sisters; Rhonda Dickenson and husband JD and Kandace Kauk and husband Kevin, 12 grandchildren; Chelsea Nichole Briant, Cierra Lyn Briant, Kayli Wigington, Kaitlyn Renea Fitzsimmons, Kourtney Marie Coppock, Bryce Briant, Megan Briant, Makylie Briant, Malachi Briant, Brynlee Bowman, Beckett Bowman, Boyd Bowman, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded parents and in-laws, one sister, Keneta Brown, two grandchildren, Kristofer A. and Daniel A. Fitzsimmons, one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
