Fredrick Merrill Seifried passed away from this life on July 30, 2019 in Seiling, OK. at the age of 64. Fred was born on November 18, 1954 to Troy and Darlene Seifried in Okeene, OK. His grade school and high school years spent in the Canton School system where he graduated with the class of 1973. On January 31, 1981 Fred married the love of his life Debra (Fritz) Seifried at Canton, OK. To this union was born two children, daughters Jennifer Coons, and Janette Redinger. Fred and the family lived in Canton, OK. until they moved to Seiling, OK. where he lived until his passing away in 2019.
Fred was a Cutting and Reining Horse Trainer, for 40 years competing in events all over the United States. Fred was known for his stories, jokes, and outgoing personality. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone. His antics will live on as legends to those who know him. He loved wood working, dirt work, playing with his grandkids, and harvest. He was also a member of the Canton Christian Church.
Fred in preceded in death by his father Troy Seifried; mother Darlene (Ward) Seifried; nephew Michael Seifried; and father-in-law Don Fritz.
Fred is survived by his wife Debra (Fritz) Seifried of Seiling, OK.; daughter Jennifer and husband Dirk Coons of Seiling, OK.; daughter Janette and husband Jason Redinger of Seiling, OK.; brother Clifford Seifried of Canton, OK.; brother Marty and Beth Seifried of Canton, OK.; brother Myron Seifried of Canton, OK.; granddaughters Chloe Nailon, Paige Coons, Kendra Coons, an JoLee Redinger all of Seiling, OK. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Fountain Cemetery in Canton, OK.
