The funeral service for Darlene Seifried, 82, of Canton, OK will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Canton Christian Church with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Cemetery west of Canton under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Della Darlene (Ward) Seifried was born June 22, 1930 at home southeast of Chester, OK in the Lakeside community to Merrill "Bill" and Reva (Floyd) Ward. She departed this life on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Enid, OK. Darlene went to school at Lakeside through the eighth grade and graduated from Seiling High School in 1948. She was married to Troy Seifried on December 8, 1949. They made their home on a farm west of Canton. She was a longtime member of the Canton Christian Church. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in her rose garden and playing with her many cats.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Troy; one brother, Jody Ward.

Survivors include four sons, Clifford Seifried of Canton, OK, Freddie Seifried and wife Debra of Seiling, OK, Marty Seifried and wife Beth of Canton, OK and Myron Seifried of Canton, OK; seven grandchildren, Michael, Mickey, Mylissa, Jennifer, Janette Jason and Eric; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Canton Christian Church with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Condolences may be made online at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home.
