Cortney J. Michelle Tidball Ruiz was born September 27, 1991 in Okeene, Oklahoma to Debbie Tidball. She lived in Canton until her grandmother who raised her passed away in 2004. She then moved to Alabama, where she lived until 2009. In 2010 she moved back to Canton, where she met and married Michael Ruiz on July 24, 2011 at Fairview, Oklahoma. They had a daughter Elizabeth Rose Ruiz in June of 2012. Cortney enjoyed staying home and taking care of her family, and spending the majority of her time with her daughter. She graduated from Canton High School with the class of 2010. Cortney was employed at the Lucky Star Casino at Canton, OK.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Kitty Tidball; sister Karry Tidball; Survivors include her husband Michael Ruiz of Longdale and daughter Elizabeth Rose Ruiz; her mother Debbie Davis of Georgia; her Papa Dennis Tidball of Canton; two sisters Kiesha Dorough and Kristen Tidball and daughter Isabella of Alabama; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Cortney departed this life on Thursday morning, August 22, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 26, 2013 at Canton Christian Church with Pastor Dax Ewbanks and Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Fountain Cemetery under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made to a fund at the Community State Bank of Canton for the benefit of her daughter Elizabeth Rose Ruiz. Condolences may be made online at www.haiglerpierce.com.
