Leta Joyce (Tyree) Robison
June 20, 1933 ~ April 24, 2023

Leta Joyce Tyree Robison of Canton, Oklahoma passed away on April 24, 2023 at Seiling Hospital after a long and full life. Joyce was born on June 20,1933 at her family home in Fonda, Oklahoma and attended grade school at Fonda before moving to Canton and graduating from Canton High School in 1951. A pillar of her community and a well-loved member of the Canton Christian Church, Christian Women's Fellowship, and the Canton senior citizens, Joyce also served as a past president of the Oklahoma County Commissioner's Wives Association. Joyce had a passion for fashion, flowers, red cardinals, collecting Blue Willow dinnerware, playing cards with friends, and traveling, having visited 49 of the 50 US states before her passing. Joyce was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, who always showed support when someone needed help. She will be terribly missed but her laughter, smile, and zest for life will inspire us all.

She was predeceased by her parents Herbert (Hub) & Nellie Tyree, sister Shirley Curtis, brother Paul Tyree, husband Wendell Robison, step-son Sheldon Robison, nieces Vickie Hoskins and Shirley Ann Canaday, and great-grandson Kasen Smith. Joyce is survived by her sister Darlene Robinson of Canton, OK, daughter Stephanie Calhoun of San Diego, CA, her sons and daughters-in-law Stephen and Melanie Smith of Enid, OK, Kevin and Sandy Smith of Norman, OK and step-son Kelly & wife Jane Robison. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Courtney and Brooke Calhoun, Austin, TX Cody and Nona Smith, Canton, OK Kirby and Heather Smith, Canton, OK Matthew and Melissa Smith, Norman, OK Kristen and Eric Fiegl, Moore, OK Tiffany and Russ Erb, Elgin, OK Brandi and Nathan Rodriguez, Fort Worth, TX Austin and Sage Smith, Oklahoma City, OK Shane, Brandon, and Mike Robison, Hennessey Ok Evan and Peter Hill, Dedham, MA Great-grandchildren: Colton, Caden, and Adlie Smith Kenlee J and Knox Smith Josiah Hill Carson and Grayson Smith Mackenzie Fiegl Logan Helkenberg Riley and Reese Erb.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Canton Christian Church with interment to follow at Fountain Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Memorials may be made to the Canton Christian Church or the American Cancer Society with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
