Sharen K. (Gordon) Peoples
May 10, 1949 ~ June 18, 2020

Sharen K. Peoples, 71, of rural Canton, Oklahoma departed this life on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Enid, Oklahoma. Sharen and her twin sister, Karen, were born May 10, 1949 to William (Bill) Gordon and Anna Lee (Cox) Gordon at Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Sharen graduated with the class of 1967 at Okmulgee High School. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and crafts. She also loved Oklahoma and Oklahoma State football. Sharen worked for many years as an executive assistant for the Woodward Industrial Foundation at Woodward, Oklahoma.

Sharen was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Karen Ann Tozer and brother William Gary Gordon; Survivors include her loving companion, partner and best friend, Jerry Evans of the home in rural Canton; one son, Bill Peoples of Woodward, Oklahoma; one daughter, Suzanne Fletcher and husband Christopher of Woodward, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Pacee Peoples and Solomon Fletcher; many extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Fountain Cemetery west of Canton with Reverend Greg Keith officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made in Sharen’s name to the charity of donor’s choice with the funeral home acting as custodian of funds at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
