Funeral services for Sandy McNabb, 64, of Canton, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the Canton School’s Multi-Purpose Building with Reverend Mike McReynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Fountain Cemetery west of Canton under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.
Sandra Kay McNabb was born September 21, 1958 at the Fairview Clinic to parents Kenneth Ray and Lois Yvonne (Van Meter) McDonald. She departed this life on Sunday morning, February 19, 2023 at Fairview, Oklahoma.
Sandy graduated at Canton High School and earned a Master’s Degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She taught school at Longdale before teaching at Canton Schools where she currently worked as the school librarian. Besides working in education, Sandy worked many summers for Alan Cox at the Overlook Café and managed the Longdale Speedway concession. She could be found volunteering in places such as the school concession stands and helped with the Walleye Rodeo for many years. Sandy was also a longtime member of the Canton First Baptist Church.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father Kenneth McDonald and one brother, Randy McDonald; She is survived by her mother, Lois McDonald of Canton, Oklahoma; two sons, Charles McNabb and partner Tenny and Colin McNabb and wife Nicole of Canton; one brother, Curtiss McDonald and wife Sheri of Canton; and one grandson, Daylon McNabb of Canton; Condolences may be made at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
