Services for Mildred Joyce Rogers,66, Coalgate, are 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Coalgate, the Rev. Jim Smith and Dr. James Evans officiating. Burial follows in Pine Cemetery
Mrs. Rogers died June 8, 1996, at her home. She was born July 2, 1929 at Tennaha, Texas, to Van Henry and Jeannie Eva Pitts. She worked as a sewing machine operator.
On Oct. 16, 1946 she and Herman Eugene Rogers were married at Houston, Texas. He died Nov. 11, 1980
Suvivors include four daughters, Elsie Horton, Pati Holder, Jo Eva Pebworth and Vanessa Madden, all of Coalgate; a son, Herman Eugene Rogers, Jr. Seminole; a sister, Helen Feemster, Sulphur, LA.; a brother, Luther Pitts, Dallas, Texas; 15 grandchldren, nine great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Bob Trail, Randy Ward, H. D. Cagle, Vendell Laster, John D. Ward and Bailey Ryan.
Epperson Funeral Services, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
Note: Herman Eugene Rogers, Sr. died November 26, 1980.

Herman Eugene Rogers was paid tribute Friday afternoon in rites at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Sevedge officiating.
He was born April 5, 1924, in Coalgate, to James Robert Rogers and Elsie Virginia Hicks.
He married Joyce Pitts on Oct.16, 1946, in Houston, Texas.
He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce , of the home; four daughters, Elsie Horton, Coalgate; Pati Mosley, Dewey, Jo Eva Rogers and Vanessa Rogers, both of the home; a son, Herman Rogers, Jr. Odessa, Texas; four sisters, Lois Mankin, California, Ernestine Palmer, Coalgate, Hazel Pendley, California, and Sue Ramsey, Odessa Texas; two brothers, E. C. Rogers, Borger, Tx., and L.B. Rogers, Coalter (correction Coalgate) and six grandchildren.
Burial was in Pine Cemetery with Epperson Funeral Service in charge
