November 2009Submitted by: Martha Real Watie Ray Thirsty Jr. also known as "Jr.", son of Tammy Scott Davis and Watie Thirsty was born June 16, 1982 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 15, 2009 at the age of 27 years, 4 months and 29 days.
Jr. attended Tenkiller Elementary and then attended high school at Tahlequah. He lived in the Caney Ridge Community his whole life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and friends especially his two precious children; Noah and Lilly. He worked at Greenleaf Nursery as a prober for many years until he was recently promoted to groundskeeper at the main office.
Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents; Ray Scott and Sandra Scott, William Thirsty and Jim and Ruby Davis.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his son; Noah Thirsty of Tahlequah, Ok, Daughter; Lilly Thirsty of the home in Welling, Ok, Mother; Tammy Scott Davis and husband James of the home in Welling, Ok, Father; Watie Thirsty and wife Sabra of Rocky Mountain, Ok, 2 Sisters; Ashley Thirsty of Stilwell, Ok, Tamara Thirsty of Rocky Mountain, Brothers; W.T. Thirsty and Chase Pritchett, Grandmothers; Lillian Thirsty of Hulbert and Debra Scott of Welling, Ok. A special friend D.J. Hamby of Tahlequah, Ok, several aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Thirsty and Bro. Kevin Davis officiating. Interment followed at Hungry Mountain Cemetery in Welling, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
