Nevell Lee Girdner known as "Jug" was born September 1, 1945 in Bunch, Oklahoma to Leroy and Dorothy (Coles) Girdner. Jug departed this life on May 22, 2014 in Plano, Texas at the age of 68.

Jug married the love of his life, Nora Cook, on October 9, 1965. Of this 48 year union was born 6 boys. Jug was a loving Husband, Dad and Poppa.

Jug loved spending time with his wife, sons, grandchildren and the rest of his family. He also enjoyed watching horse races and football. He loved piddling with his lawnmowers. One thing Jug loved was his little dog Gizmo, even though no one else did. Jug was of the Baptist faith.

Jug was preceded in death by his parents: Leroy and Dorothy Girdner, three sons: Steven, Brenton and PeeWee Girdner, one sister: Wanda Girdner, four brothers: Herbie, Jim, Roger and Rick Girdner.

He is survived by a very loving family which includes his loving wife: Nora Girdner of Welling, OK, three sons: Brad and Karrie Girdner of Welling, Randy Girdner of Tahlequah, OK and Clint Girdner of the home, seven grandchildren: Treil Girdner of the Home, Brittany Girdner of Olathe, KS, Kimber Croley of Lehi, UT, Chris and Sydney Girdner of Tahlequah, Bryan Girdner of Bunch, OK and Lisa Lemasters of Bunch, seven great-grandchildren: Isabella "Issy" Girdner of Hulbert, OK, Raelee Girdner of Tahlequah, Ty, Macie and Sophie Croley of Lehi, UT, Garrett and Hagin Lemasters of Bunch, brother: Tub and Tish Girdner of Welling, sisters: Shirley and Estell Brannon of Welling, Gail and Gary Scott of Welling, Claretta "Birdie" Christie of Stilwell, OK, sister-in-laws: Theresa Girdner of Welling, Candy Girdner of Stilwell, Ladonna Girdner of Tahlequah and Stacy Girdner of Welling, many nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive "Jug".

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Barber Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Duvall and Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Hungry Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
