Funeral services for Harley James Davis are 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He will be laid to rest in the Hungry Mountain Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

 

Harley James Davis passed away at his home in Welling, Oklahoma on July 23, 2015, at age 77.

 

He was born March 12, 1938, in Barber,Oklahoma to James P.Davis Sr. and Helen V.Blackman-Perry. He married Marjorie Stoddard, February 3, 1961, in Eugene, Oregon. They were married for 54 years at the time of his passing.

 

Harley was a Semi Driver for 25 years. He was a caring and giving person and donated a kidney to his daughter Laura, in 1980. He was also a volunteer firefighter at Cookson. Harley enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, horseback riding, and spending time with his family and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Laura Candy; a brother, Richard Perry; and other many other loved ones.

 

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Davis of the home; their children, Mark Candy of Inola, Oklahoma, Kristine and Bob Myers of Chouteau, Oklahoma, James G. and Norma Davis of Christie, Oklahoma, Timothy Davis and Connie Christie of Welling, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren , Benjamin Candy, Kristy McKie, Kimberly Ozbun, Jessica Parnell, Chelsey Tuell, Dustin Davis, Justin Davis, and Tyffany Davis,; eleven great grandchildren; six brothers; four sisters; and many other loved ones and friends. He will be greatly missed children.
