Oma Mozelle Cozbey Wells

Services for Oma Mozelle Cozbey Wells, 90, of Durant who passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma, will be held Thursday, October 30, 2:00 p.m. at Brown"s Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Anthony Williams and Pastor Charles Williams will officiate.
Oma was born April 8, 1918, in Tupelo, Oklahoma to Eunice Hulbert and Lidia Rodgers Cozbey.
She moved with her family to Bryan County when she was 7 years old.
She married Ruben Wells Christmas day in 1937.
She was a devoted homemaker and mother. She was a member of Wade Baptist Church and later became a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading, music, going to town and spending time with family and friends.
Oma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Oma was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Wells; parents, Eunice Hulbert and Lidia Cozbey; infant son, Larry Wells and brothers, William, Earl, Troy and Dale Cozbey.
Oma is survived by her son, Levvin Wells and wife Linda of Bennington; daughter, Kathleen Mize and husband Don of Bennington; son, Lenioal "Lendy" Wells and wife Peggy of Bennington; son, Wendell Wells and Norma of Wade; daughter, Estelle Fant of Durant and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Highland Cemetery with Kevin Wells, Brian Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Casey Jones, Chad Currie and Ed Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Carter, Ryan Perry and Derek Perry.
There is no family visitation planned but the funeral home will be open tonight until 8:00 p.m.
