Ida Morgan Tuttle
June 27, 1912 - August 11, 2009

Graveside services for Ida Morgan Tuttle, 97, of Durant who passed away peacefully, with her family at her side on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, will be held Thursday, August 13th, 11:00 AM at Highland Cemetery. Dr. Ernest Sturch and Bro. Rick Ring will officiate.

Ida was born June 27, 1912 in Yarnaby, Oklahoma to Jesse Albert and Ida (Bunch) Morgan. After her mother’s death she was raised by her father and step mother, Sallie Campbell Morgan. She attended school at Yarnaby and later beauty school in Ardmore. She married Lewis A. Tuttle on March 17, 1941. They left Bryan County for 20 years and returned in 1963. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and she enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower gardens and working with her cattle. Ida will be greatly missed by all who knew and dearly loved her.

Ida was preceded in death by parents, J.A. and Ida (Bunch) Morgan; Husband, Lewis A. Tuttle step mother, Sallie (Campbell) Morgan; brothers, Shytles, Vernon, Vester (Backie) and Leonard (Shaver) Morgan.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Wanda Jones and husband Troy (Gene) of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Mark Jones and wife Kristi of Allen, TX and David Jones and wife Shelly of Richardson, TX; great grandchildren, Chris Jones of Allen, TX, Ellie Jones of Richardson, TX and Charlee Jones of Richardson, TX; sister, Geneva Loftis of Yuba, OK; sister in law, Renee Morgan of Amity, OR; nieces, Sallie Young of Wichita Falls, TX, Ann Detrick, OR and Sue Jensen and husband Ted of Dundie, OR; and nephew, James Morgan and wife Sharon of Clatskanie, OR.

Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
