Donalda Joyce Trent entered this life on August 8, 1937, born to Lester and Birda (Welch) Smith. On August 15, surrounded by her loving family, Donalda went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 78 years and 7 days.
Donalda has lived in Bryan Co. for most of her life graduating from Durant High School. On July 2, 1956 Donalda united in marriage with her loving husband Edward C. Trent. Donalda was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In her free time she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, listening to country music and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Donalda is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Birda Smith; son, Duwayne C. Trent; brothers, Jimmy Smith, Lloyd Smith, Shirley Smith; sisters, Sylvester Morgan, Rosa Owen, Audrey Caldwell, Dorothy McCown, Nita Swafford, Beatrice Ashley.
Donalda’s memory is left with her loving husband, Edward C. Trent of the home; daughter, Theresa A. Trent of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Jean Trimble of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Clemmie E Trent of Durant, Joyce A. Mathews of Lawton, OK, Daniel Freeman of Seattle WA; great-grandchildren, Gabriel C. Trent, Hunter D. Mathews, Blaiklynn M. Mathews; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the life of Donalda will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Bullard officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery with Bill Lansdale, Ray McHenry, RJ Rains, Gary Lawson, Gary Baugher, and Donald Golden serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, August 19th from 6-8 PM.
