Russell Dean Thompson, age 81, of Frisco, TX died at Plano Scott & White Hospital, Plano, TX, surrounded by his loving family. Russell was born on December 13, 1937 in Wilson, Oklahoma to George Howard & Lexi Leola Batt Thompson. He married Latralle Chesnut in Durant, Ok on June 16, 1962. His occupation was a State of Texas Premises Manager. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frisco, TX.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; Latralle, his children; Lisa Quortrup & Oben of Ft. Worth, TX, Holly Brinkley & Todd of Frisco, TX, Stuart Thompson & Pam of Plano, TX, his brother; Roger Thompson & Jo of Hurst, TX, his six grandchildren; Amanda, Duke, Emma, Anabelle, Aubrey, Kees, one great-grandchild; Maddie, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George & Lexi Thompson, sisters; Erma Jean Payne & Wanda Couch, his brothers, Charles, Donald, Bob, Billy & Jerry Lynn.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery Chapel, Durant, OK, with Minister Elwood Larson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Frisco First Baptist Church - New Building Fund.
