John A. Rudolf, a resident of Ector, Texas passed from this life in Savoy, Texas on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the age of 94 years, 1 month and 20 days.

He was born in Yarnaby , Oklahoma to Adolf and Elizabeth Ann Simunek Rudolf on Tuesday, May 20, 1919.

John married Martha Ida Hardgrove in Durant, Oklahoma on December 1, 1945.

He farmed and ranched for 86 years on the ranch he called home.

John was a man who committed his life to caring for his family and his land. He loved to ride his horses and care for his cattle. Ranching was John's life.

Mr. Rudolf is survived by his daughters, Betty Morris and husband Randy of Ector, Texas and Mary Rudolf and Don Learned of Pueblo, Colorado; sisters, Elizabeth Rudolf of Savoy, Texas and Helen Warren of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughters, Anna Hicks and husband Jared of Ector, Texas, Sara Garcia and husband Jesse of Bonham, Texas; greatgrandchildren, Presley Hicks of Ector, Texas, Westin Hicks of Ector, Texas, Hunter Hicks of Ector, Texas, Gavin Garcia of Bonham, Texas and Amarah Garcia of Bonham, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends and dear caregivers.

Mr. Rudolf was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf and Elizabeth Rudolf; wife, Martha and brother, Adolf "Doc" Rudolf.

Family hour will be from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

A funeral service in honor of his memory will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Chapel with Bro. Morris Cook officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery Pavilion. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard Wilson, Randall Rudolf, Milton Rudolf, Quentin, Warren Melvin Dosh and Tom Cason. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Rowan.

In lieu for flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Reba's Ranch House at 5036 Reba Dr., Denison, Texas 75020.

Services are under the direction of Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
