Stella Timberlake Mullens, a beloved family member and resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed from this life and joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the age of 76. She was born on September 6, 1939 in Durant, Oklahoma to Jess George and Dora Richardson Timberlake.
She married Billy Mullens in Durant, Oklahoma on November 11, 1956.
Stella was a member of the First Baptist Church and very active with the FBC Keenagers and Celebration Choir until she could no longer attend.
She retired from the Bryan County Health Department after working from 1976-2003. Stella was very involved with the Choctaw Senior Citizens Center. But Stella's greatest pleasure was the time she spent with her grandson's.
Mrs. Mullens is survived by her daughter, Deborah Clements and husband Michael of Durant, Oklahoma; grandsons, Aaron Rains of Durant, Oklahoma and Kyle Clements of Durant, Oklahoma and sisters, Joyce Buchanan of Durant, Oklahoma and Loyce Cubley of Durant, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Mullens was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Dora Timberlake; husband, Billy Mullens; brother, Richard Timberlake and sister, Veiola Simmons.
Family hour will be from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the Holmes ~ Coffey~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.
A church service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at the 1st Baptist Church with Bro. James Robinson and Father James Blagg officiating.
Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Bragg, Gary Buchanan, Kenny Mullens, Justin Boone, Jason Boone, Garrett Boone, Derrick Boone, Ronnie Cubley and Terry Bourne.
