Annie Mae Phipps McMichael, born March 10, 1908 in Mt. Lebanon, Louisiana to Jonce and Sue Annie Cox Phipps, passed from this life Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Four Seasons Nursing Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

Their family moved to Oklahoma November 1908. She lived and attended school in the Mt. View area.

She married Jesse Booker McMichael on September 4, 1926. They moved their family to Kenefic, in March 1935. Their home was blessed with four children. After the death of Jesse Booker McMichael, Annie married Albert McMichael December 18, 1952.

Annie loved to work in her garden, read, visit with her friends and family. She looked forward for the daily paper so she could work the crossword puzzle. She had a wonderful memory. If we couldn't remember a date or a name we would call Annie.

She had a lovely attitude and spirit. Annie loved to read her Bible. She read it through many times.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Caddo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Booker McMichael and husband, Albert McMichael, 3 year old daughter, Jessie Mae in 1932, brothers, Munsey L. Phipps, Eck Phipps, Charley B. Phipps, Estel J. Phipps, Arnett E. Phipps, Thurston Phipps and Howard Phipps and sister, Lula Lunsford.

She is survived by daughter, Dorothy May and husband Truman of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, John McMichael and wife Betty and Jerry McMichael and wife Mary Nell of Caddo; grandsons, Robert May and wife Alicia of Arlington, Texas, James McMichael of Caddo, Oklahoma, Larry McMicheal of Caddo, Lonny McMichael and wife Kim of Fall City, Washington; granddaughters, Sheri May of Saginaw, Texas; Barbara Mitchell and husband Danny of Caddo; great grandchildren, Zach May, Becky and Patty McMichael, Melanie Stanley, Landon McMichael and wife Bradi, Marla Yandell and husband Jeremy, Brandon Mitchell, Julie Dilbeck and husband Sammy, Wilhelmina McMichael and eleven great great grandchildren, Kenton and Kenslie, Jason and David, Gage, Garrett and Gavin, Waylon and Abby, Jagger and Olivia. Also, Sherria McMichael her dear friend and granddaughter in law.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caddo. Bro. Anthony Williams will officiate.

Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Durant.

Pallbearers are Lloyd Boehme, Pete Argo, Jack Hill, Billy Miller, Richard McIntire. Mike Wingfield and Loyd Sims are serving as honorary pallbearers.

Dalton- Holmes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
