DURANT --- Juletta Glea McMurtrey Koehn, 70, of Durant, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 8, 2011.
Juletta was born April 6, 1940, to Wentz and Inis Ingle McMurtrey in Cherokee, Oklahoma. She was raised on the family farm west of Cherokee.
She was a graduate of Cherokee High School and also a graduate of Enid Business College.
Juletta worked as a secretary for Hackett Auto Supply.
On April 9, 1961, she married Arnold Koehn of Enid, Oklahoma.
Juletta was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and a great friend to those who knew her. She enjoyed doing crafts, an excellent seamstress in which she made clothing for her family, and loved running her household.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Durant.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold Koehn of the home; sons, Darin and Brian Koehn of Noble, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Brianna Koehn, all of Noble; brother, Ronal McMurtrey and wife Marguerite of Cherokee; sister, Marlyn Keiffer and husband John of Richardson, Texas; several nephews, nephews and numerous friends.
Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at First Baptist Church, Durant. Brother James Robinson will officiate.
Burial to follow in Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Craig Keiffer, Tami Keiffer, Rhonda McMurtrey, Doug McMurtrey, Cayleigh Onitiz and David Sterling. Family hour will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church, Durant, toward medical missions.
