Lorene Riley Johnson was born on August 3, 1923 in Colbert, Oklahoma to C.R. and Audry Nance Riley and passed away on April 7, 2014 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 4 days.
Lorene married Vale Johnson on June 25, 1960 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1993.
She has lived most of her life in Bryan County and she was a dedicated homemaker to her family.
She was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed yard work, cooking, gardening, quilting and spending time with family and friends.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; husband and three brothers and five sisters.
She is survived by her children, Sue Stillwell of Durant, Charles Carter of Durant, Jerry Carter and Paula Downs; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Highland Cemetery Chapel. Bro. Tommy Rowland will officiate. Pallbearers will be Paul Cavender, Donald Lyles, Johnny Rowland, Tony Stilwell, Brandon Carter and Jack Huddle. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
