Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at New Hope Church of the Nazarene for Natoma Andis Hooper, 85, of Durant, who passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008, at her residence in Durant. Revs. Clifford Joines and Al Mixon will officiate.

Natoma was a lifelong resident of Bryan County.

She was born Wednesday, September 19, 1923, in Cypress to Joe Benton Andis and Annie Mae Howard. She married Haskell Hooper on May 16, 1942, in Durant.

Natoma worked at the SOSU cafeteria from 1962-1986 and was on the election board for a number of years. She was also a member at the First Church of the Nazarene.

She loved cooking for her family, spending time with kids and grandkids, and watching Ranger baseball and talking to her friends on the phone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Rick Rodgers and granddaughter, Danna Boyd.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Linda Tigert and husband John of Mesquite, Texas, Sue Hooper of Durant, Vickie Tucker and husband Ed of Calera and Sherry Hudson and husband Mike of Durant; son Randy Hooper of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; brother, C.B. Andis and wife Linda of Durant; sisters, Kay Miller, June Devereaux and husband Merle, LaWanda Heil and husband Dan, all of Durant, Mary Loftis and husband Wayne of Bokchito, Shelba Hammonds and husband R.C. of Kemp, Texas, Virginia Hanson and husband J.W. of Mesquite, Texas, and Melba Graham of Durant; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Tucker, Josh Boyd, Richard Baggs, Bryan Tucker, Stone Scoggin and Blake Simpson. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Boyd.

Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Durant.

Family hour will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to The New Hope Church of the Nazarene P.O. Box 1158 Durant, Oklahoma 74702.

Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
