Dorothy Faye Faubion Hermann was born to George Washington Faubion and Fannie Opal Parsons Faubion on Friday, January 13, 1928, in Crawford, Texas. She passed from this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 23 days.
Dorothy worked as a nurses aide for many years at Kings Daughters and Sons Nursing Home. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her daughters, Alice F. Hile of Durant, Oklahoma; Catherine J. Robson of Springfield, Ohio; Irene L. Hermann of Dennard, Arkansas; sons, John F. Hermann of Durant, Oklahoma; Walter J. Hermann of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Frank J. Lawson of Piqua, Ohio; as well as 16 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren and 9 great -great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Fannie Faubion; husband, Walter John Hermann; sisters, Sophia Elizabeth Steck, Athaline Myers, Lola Beatrice Smith; brothers, George Robert Lawson, Roger Gene Lawson; grandchildren, Michael Lee Null, James Mers, D'Waine Hile great grandchild, Chasity Abney.
Family hour will be 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Holmes - Coffey - Murray Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010, Highland Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Bruce McLaughlin will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael VanZandt, Matthew Null, Anthony Null, Cory Prock, James Prock and Blake McWilliams.
