Deceased Name: Shirley Jean McKnight Glafcke

Shirley Jean McKnight Glafcke entered this life on November 11, 1930 in Franklinton, Louisiana born to Rev. Alton Ausborne and Mary Daniel McKnight and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2014 in Durant at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 15 days.
Shirley married Walter Robert Glafcke on July 25, 1958 and they were blessed with 28 years together until his death in 1986.
Shirley moved to Bryan county ten years ago to be with her daughter.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Newcomers Club.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Robert Glafcke and her parents, Rev. Alton and Mary McKnight.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Tracy Glafcke Risner and husband Jackie of Durant; brother, Alton A. McKnight with wife Denise; grandchildren, Dakota Nicole Risner, Jesse Dylan Risner and Tanner Chase Risner; nephews, Kevin McKight and Jason McKnight and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor Jesse West will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Risner, Jesse Risner, Terry Risner, Jerry Risner, Matt Newll, Chance Risner and Kevin McKnight.
A private family interment will follow in Highland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday prior to service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the local animal shelter or pet rescue organization.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
