Benjamin Charles Shell was born on August 31, 1963 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Toss Shell and Plizia Ruth (Mashunkashey) Shell Bishop, and departed this life on January 17, 2012 at the age of 48 years, 4 months, and 12 days.

Ben was employed at Schwans Foods as a Leadman for the Sanitation Department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and always loved to make people laugh. He loved OU football and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Toss Shell and Plizia Bishop and nephew: Chris Galcatcher.

Survivors include a daughter: Dheidra Shell of Stilwell, four sisters: Ruth Daugherty of Stilwell and Elizabeth Shell, Nellie Sue Ayers, and Sarah Simmons, all of Memphis, TN, two brothers: Tim Bishop and wife AnnMarie of Stilwell and Keith Shell of Lebanon, TN, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Salaw Hummingbird and Sib Wolfe officiating. Interment followed at Fourkiller Cemetery.
