Capron Cemetery


Alva – services for Selma E. Kunzman Austin, 88, will be at 2 PM Sunday at Alva Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Glen C. Kollmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery directed by Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva.

Mrs. Austin died Thursday in an Alva nursing home. She was born August 28, 1899, southwest of Capron and attended rural schools.

She and Earl Austin were married December 15, 1923, in Winfield, Kansas. They lived in Canton, Kansas, and San Joaquin, California. After her husband's death in 1963, she moved to Boise, Idaho, and in 1966 to Alva. She was a member of Alva Zion Lutheran Church and the Black Wing VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by seven sisters and six brothers.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church building fund, either directly or through the funeral home.
