Funeral: 2:00 PM Friday, August 14th, 2015 - Trinity Luthern Church

Interment: Friday, August 14th, 2015 - Vonton Cemetery

Louise Hickey, 95 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 in the Grace Living Center in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2015 in the Trinity Lutheran Church with the Reverend Gregory Brown officiating. Burial will follow at the Vonton Cemetery.

Eva Louise (Wyatt) Hickey was born on April 8, 1920 in Woodward she was the daughter of Rufus Asbury and Anna May (Root) Wyatt. Louise grew up in Woodward and attended Woodward schools. She was united in marriage to Lester Eugene Hickey on July 8, 1936 in Woodward, Oklahoma. The ceremony was performed by Judge L.A. Foster. They made their home in Woodward and they have lived there since that time.

Louise was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and she was a longtime active member. She loved to fish with Lester and enjoyed going with him to Colorado deer hunting. She made quilts and did embroidery work. Louise made each grandchild a set of tea towels and her work was beautiful. She loved spending time with Lester, her children, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Maxine Chance; two sons, Louis Eugene Hickey and wife Maryann, and Frank Willard Hickey and wife Alva; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Louise loved her husband and family very much and then when her grandchildren came in the family her Love grew to new heights. She had a lot of Love to give, not only to just family but her Church family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Anna Wyatt, her husband, Lester, on February 17, 1996, her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hickey; son-in-law, Everett Chance; sister, Jennilee Ruttman; brothers, David “Jimmie” Franklin, Glen Arlen, Rufus Asbury Wyatt Jr, brothers-in-law, Clarence, Melvin, Cecil; sisters-in-law, Opal, Hulda, Frankie; and a grandson Lester Lee Hickey.
