Belinda Ann Young Carter

March 24, 1955 - July 12, 2026

Belinda Carter, 71 year old Fargo resident passed Sunday, July 12. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 18, 2026 in the Fargo Nazarene Church. Interment will follow in South Persimmon Cemetery with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Belinda Ann Carter was born on March 24, 1955 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Willis Edward and Evelyn "Lena" (McDonald) Young. She was the fifth child of seven. She grew up north and west of Vici and at an early age was taught a strong work ethic. She attended Vici schools for 12 years and graduated with the class of 1973. She attended the Vici Church of the Nazarene.

On June 11, 1976 she was married to Billy Ray Carter. They made their first home in Woodward. To this union two sons were born. Mark Allen and Michael "Mikey" Edward. In 1985 on her 30th birthday she found her dream home in Fargo. They were moved in by the end of May. She found her new church home at the Fargo Nazarene and became a member and was the church secretary for many years.

She never minded the drive to Woodward every day to work. She was bookkeeper and loved challenges. She always said she was a number person. She had several jobs in her work career, but her greatest adventure was working for Gary Moser. She felt like she was her own boss and after Gary's death was able to travel to Venezuela on a business trip with Rosie his wife. It was a trip she talked about for years. They treated her like family.

Belinda loved to go on vacation. She worked hard and saved up to go every year. Seems like there was always a problem happening during their trip. But they struggled through. She loved for Bill to take the boys fishing early in the morning and she could stay in the room and sleep.

For several years Bill and Belinda were foster parents. Many kids came into their lives and left again.

He greatest joy was when the grand babies started coming, five grandsons, so proud of each one. She loved them and they loved her. She would spend Saturdays taking them to movies and going swimming and always stopping at McDonald's. She was wonderful Nana. She so wanted to see two precious great-granddaughters arriving in October. We know she will have the best view from Heaven.

She loved each and everyone of her nieces and nephews and the greats and great-greats.

She was a wonderful wife to her husband and cared for him for many years when he was in bad health. She loved every dog and they were her babies and were so spoiled.

Belinda is survived by one son, Mark Carter and wife Mandy, their son's Kash and Kayd, daughter-in-law Andrea Roberts and husband John, grandsons, Alex Carter and fiancé Ashlyn, Peyton Carter and wife Kaydence, and Trustin Carter, sisters, Barbara Maddox and husband Joe, Willneta Mitchell and husband Kerry, brothers, Charles Young and wife Trish, Larry Young and wife Retha, sisters-in-law, Wanna Braudrick and Kathy Young, her precious dog, Toby, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her church family. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, son Mikey, two brothers, Billy Braudrick and Jimmy Young.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Fargo Nazarene Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
