Liles Ann Wilcox Harper

harper-l-a

March 25, 1942 ~ October 21, 2024

Liles Ann Harper was born on March 25, 1942 east of Fairview, Oklahoma to Gladys and L.E. Wilcox. She was the third of four children. She traveled the country with her family before they settled in Waynoka, Oklahoma where she graduated high school in 1960.She had a brief job at the Major County Courthouse before meeting the love of her life, Charles Harper. They were united into marriage on March 6, 1965. They settled on the Harper homestead north of Quinlan. To this union three children were born, John Charles, Kellie Ann and Pamela Lynn.

She was the definition of a devoted wife and helpmate to her husband. She spent her life in service of her family and community. There was no one she wouldn't help. She was loved by all who got the chance to know her. After running a dairy for many years, they decided to slow down and move down the road but Charles had other ideas of what "slow down" meant. They then started a cow/calf and large garden operation until finally moving to town in 2019 and then truly slowed down due to health reasons.

She had a special gift for being patient and listening to young children. Liles joined Charles in Heaven on October 21, 2024.
