Funeral: 2:00 PM Thursday, December 29th, 2016 - Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus

Interment: Thursday, December 29th, 2016 - Prairieview Cemetery Denson D. Crabtree, 54 year old Woodward resident, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at his home north of Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church, Lincoln Campus with the Reverend Jason Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery, south of Woodward. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Denson Deloyd Crabtree was born on March 20, 1962 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Charles Deloyd and Betty Jean (Cornish) Crabtree. He grew up in Medicine Park, Oklahoma and Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School. Denson went to work for KB Wellbore Solutions in Texas. In the mid 1980's he went to work for Halliburton and worked for 33 years before his retirement. He worked in Woodward and Burns Flat, Oklahoma and also Saudia Arabia for a period of time.

He was united in marriage to Shannon Walker on April 25, 1987 in Woodward, Oklahoma. They made their home in Woodward and have lived here since that time. They were blessed with one son, Jacob. Denson loved being with his family and friends, working in the oil industry, playing trains and loving on his animals.

He was a member of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church and was very involved with the Northwest Oklahoma Model Railroad Club.

He is survived by his wife Shannon Crabtree of the home; his mother Betty Jett of Woodward; one son, Jacob Crabtree and wife Maggie of Oakwood; two brothers: Ben Crabtree, Shawn Crabtree and wife Amanda of Woodward; one grandchild on the way in July; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Janet and Gary Walker; brother-in-law, Doug Walker and wife Lesa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by father Charles Crabtree.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the WOOF Pet Rescue with the funeral home accepting the contributions on behalf of the family.
