Dr. Mason K. Ingraham, son of Mason and Esther Ingraham, was born on a farm 7 miles west of Marengo, Iowa, October 28, 1862. He was the 8th child of a family of nine, all others have preceeded him in death. Dr. Ingraham spent his early school days in the country school. Later graduating for Marengo High School in the spring of 1883, and entered the Iowa State University at Iowa City, Iowa and graduated from its school of medicine, with the class of 1887.
In August 1887 he successfully passed the state board of Pharmacy examination and became a registered Pharmacist as well as a Medical Docter. He opened a Drug store in Victor, Iowa and on November 24, 1887 was married to Alice Elizabeth Clark of Ladora, Iowa. To this union five children were born, one son and two daughters died in infancy.
The family moved from Iowa in 1895 to Neosho Falls, Kansas where he again went in the drug business and practiced medicine but moved from Kansas to Woodward county, Oklahoma in 1900 where he filed on a claim near Curtis.
He drove by horse and buggy to El Reno and took the Pharmacy examination in 1901 and again started a drug store in Curtis, along with his medical practice. Later selling the store he lived on a farm and taught school part time but devoted most of his time to the farm south of Quinlan.
In 1918 he was taken to Waynoka to practice medicine again during the war. There he put in a drug store, later selling it. A period between 1921 and 1925 he suffered with an eye complication and had cataracts removed from each eye.
In 1926 the Ingraham families moved to Mooreland and there they established another drug store on the corner. Shortly after this Harold Ingraham too over the drug store and Dr. Ingraham visited about in Iowa, California and among relatives, but continued to make Mooreland their home.
Mrs. Ingraham passed away November 2, 1943 at the family home and Dr. Ingraham made his home with the Harold Ingraham family until January 1947 when they moved away from Mooreland. Since that time he has been with the other son Charlie Ingraham at the Cities Service station North of Mooreland. He went back to Iowa in June, and attended the 60th year celebration of his graduation from college at Iowa City University, the only one of the 60-year graduates attending.
Dr. Ingraham was a member of the Christian church a Mooreland, and with his colorful background, his years of experience, he has had a full and very active life and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss: two sons, Charlie Ingraham and wife of Mooreland; Harold Ingraham and wife of Marshall, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 9 at 2 o'clock in the Christian Church, Mooreland with rev. L. B. Chaffin officiating.
Alice Elizabeth Clark, daughter of Wm. and Almina Clark, was born in Ladora, Iowa, November 30, 1863, and passed away at her home in Mooreland November 2, 1943. On November 24, 1887 she was united in marriage with Dr. M. K. Ingraham at Ladora, Iowa.
They moved to Victor, Iowa, where Dr. Ingraham was engaged in the drug business. They later moved to Fairfield, Iowa and about 1895 they moved to Neosho Falls, Kansas. From there they moved to Woodward county, Oklahome, in 1900, when Dr. Ingraham operated one of the pioneer stores in Curtis. They moved to Waynoka during the war in 1918, and later went to New Mexico, where they remained a short time before moving to Mooreland in 1926.
She united with the Christian Church in 1929, and was very active in the service, and in the ladies Aid, remaining interested in all their work to the end of her life.
She was preceded in death by a son and two daughters, all dying in infancy. She leaves her husband Dr. M. K. Ingraham, and two sons, Charles and Harold, all of Mooreland, besides 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, one niece of Brooklyn, Iowa, and a nephew, of Marshaltown, Iowa. Funeral services were held in the Christian church in Mooreland last Thursday afternoon, Rev. C. Forbes officiating. Burial was made in the Mooreland cemetery, H. L. Gardner director in charge.

Ingraham last Thursday afternoon, included: Mr. and Mrs. Ira Ingraham of Enid, Mrs. Maude King of Leroy, Kansas, Roy Ingraham of Yates Center, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Tobe Loury of Pritchett, Colo, and Mrs. Nellie Snyder, Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Buck, and Mrs. Julia Russell, all of Hobart, Okla.
