Jane Highfill, 85 year old, Mooreland resident went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, 2020 in the Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Carrie Jane (Smith) Highfill was born on October 4, 1934 in a farm house 6 miles north of Mooreland, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Edwin Andrew and Myrle Agnes (Yount) Smith. She was raised in the Mooreland and Cedardale area. She married Jerry Cecil (Pete) Highfill and to this union they were blessed with three children Myrna Darnell, George Charley, and Dwight Edwin.Jane was a very hard working woman. She was diligent in her work. She loved her children and wanted to see them grow up and be great people. Jane worked in a few nursing homes and retired from the Mooreland Heritage Manor after 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Charley Highfill and wife Sharon of Mooreland, Dwight Highfill and wife Elaine of Corning, New York; 11 grandchildren, Kari Curry and husband Scott of Mooreland, Melodie Frey and husband Andy of Mooreland, Brooks Crawford of Mooreland, Sarah Boyer and husband Casey of Lamont, Oklahoma, Christy Woods and husband Donnie of Mustang, Oklahoma, Chan Highfill and wife Micah of Okarche, Oklahoma, Derek Crawford and wife Becky of Woodward, Valerie Wightman of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Andrea Burrows and husband Matthew of Haymarket, Virginia, Marcia Sheehan and husband Ryan of Burke, Virginia, and Tina Highfill and Jerry Dunbar of Midlothian, Virginia. She was blessed with many great grandchildren, great great grandchidlren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Pete Highfill, sister, Elva Hain, brother, Yount Smith, and daughter, Myrna Darnell Nicholson. Remembrances may be shared online at www.billingsfuneralhomewoodward.com
