James Floyd “Jay” Drawbridge, 56, of Helena was born in Mooreland on July 10, 1962 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2018.
Jay married Jo Marie Trissel on December 19, 1982 in Mooreland. To this union three children, Rryon, Drew and LaToya, were born.
Jay was a man of God and a believer. He had been with the First Christian Church for fifteen years. He was Chaplain at James Crabtree Correctional Center in Helena and also part-time Chaplain at William S. Key Center in Fort Supply. Jay touched and changed countless lives through his volunteer services and his care for his community.
Jay is survived by his wife, Jo; his children, Rryon and Scotty, Drew and LaToya Hunter and husband, Kyle; his granddaughters, Ryleigh and Myleigh Hunter; his parents, Gary and Anita Drawbridge; one sister, Kelly Dezort; one brother, Dallas Drawbridge and wife, Staci; nieces, Kori Howard, Kodee Drawbridge, Susie Davis and Patricia Smith; nephews, Tyler Dezort and Travis Harwell; his mother-in-law, Leila Rae Trissel; sister-in-law, Betty Sue.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Lillie Elwood, Willie Blackmore and father-in-law, Charlie Joe Trissel; brother-in-law, Rick Dezort.
Funeral service for Jay will be Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Timberlake High School Auditorium in Helena. Burial will at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Mooreland Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
