SHAWNEE, Okla. — Shawnee resident Harold Corter Sr. passed away Tuesday Aug. 10, 2010 in Oklahoma at the age of 77.

He was born Jan. 11, 1933, in Ada to John Leo and Iva (Allen) Corter. He worked at Lead Chief on Engine Production Branch at Tinker Air Force Base retiring in 1993. Harold served in the Korean War with the 213th Field Artillery. He married Marilyn Corter.

He was preceded in death by his precious wife Marilyn Corter.

Survivors include his special family Scott, Melissa, Scotlyn and Tyler Dennis.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Walker Funeral Sevice with the Rev. Lee Witt officiating. Burial will be at Mooreland Cemetery in Mooreland, Okla. under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Marilyn Ruth Corter of Shawnee died Sunday. She was 64.

She was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Woodward.

She married Harold Corter on June 27, 1970.

Mrs. Corter retired from civil service at Tinker Air Force Base in 1993 after 25 years.

Preceding her in death was her father, Ralph Wilson Sr.

She is survived her husband, Harold, of the home; two daughters, Charlet Bachuss and husband Rex of Midwest City; Christine Jarouzweich and husband John, Oklahoma City; son, Harold Corter Jr., Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Keir Bachuss, Midwest City, Zachary Corter and Andrea Corter, Oklahoma City; mother, Marianna Wilson of Mooreland; brother Ralph Wilson Jr. and wife Carolyn of Pampa, Texas; four sisters, Pat Godard and husband Chuck of Enid, Shirey Fussell and husband Lynn of Woodward, Janice McFeeters and husband Merlan of Bethany, Mo., and Debbie White of Woodward.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery .

Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City.
