Betty Brown, 95 year old Woodward resident, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in the Grace Living Center in Buffalo. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Mooreland Cemetery. Burial will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Woodward on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Betty Jean (Littau) Brown was born on April 19, 1923 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Fred and Mary Littau. She grew up in Chaney, Oklahoma and graduated from Gage High School. Betty was united in marriage to Wiley Dale Brown on June 1, 1947 in Ashland, Kansas. They made their home in Mooreland before moving to Woodward. Betty worked at the Westwood School in charge of the kitchen for numerous years before retiring.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Betty enjoyed camping, taking vacations to California and sewing and gardening. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Brown of Woodward, Dale Brown of Woodward; two sisters, Donave Cottney, Judith Ann Macomb and husband Tom; four grandchildren, Brandy and Tanner Green, Shiloh Brown and wife Mary and Cory Brown; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wiley Brown and daughters-in-law, Debbie Brown and Kathryn Brown.
